We’ll Deliver Halfway ‘Round the World
Even if contractors are located halfway around the world, Team Fisher will do whatever it takes to get the job done.
The fields of Belize, Lobito and Tomboco form the first phase of the Angola Deepwater project, of which Chevron-Texaco is a partner. They awarded the main contract to Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) in Korea, to engineer, procure, construct and install the production facilities for the Benguela Belize offshore oil production platform. In turn, DSME engaged Kellogg Brown and Root (KBR) from Houston, USA as the Engineering sub-contractor.
During the project, Puffer Sweiven, one of Fisher’s Representatives in North America, assisted KBR with valve engineering. The project consisted a total 249 control valves and 22 leveltrols. This included 182 globe valves, 15 ball-valves , 20 butterfly valves , 27 regulators, 19 anti-surge valves and 5 special high-pressure ball valves. The total value of the order was US$4.5 million.
Intense co-ordination was required as the engineering contractor and the procurement contractor were located in different parts of the world. Puffer Sweiven sent the engineering files to KOFAC in Korea, for pricing and submission of the commercial quote to DSME. Going the extra mile is what Team Fisher does best for its customers!
