Working knowledge of the Daniel ultrasonic product line, and a training manual with a detailed outline of the course material and a troubleshooting section for later reference on the job

 

Course Content
Students are given instructions on:

·         Basics of sound waves

·         How ultrasonic flow meters work and their advantages over other meters

·         The performance characteristics of transit time ultrasonic flow meters

·         System components and Mark II electronics, including the power supply, Diagnostics and Frequency Interface (DFI), Central Processing Unit (CPU), and Intrinsically Safe (IS) interface boards.

·         Meter mechanics

·         Removal and installation of transducer assemblies

·         Volumetric and mass ultrasonic gas flow measurement

·         Meter installation considerations

Description
This course prepares students to install, operate, and maintain Daniel multipath ultrasonic gas flow meters. In addition to four days of instruction by one of our experienced instructors, each student receives a detailed training manual.

 

 

 

 

·         Meter operation, performance characteristics, calibration, and field checks

·         Mechanical installation of the meter

·         Electronics assembly

·         Making electrical connections

·         Communications settings

·         Commissioning the system, including electronic wiring checks

·         Maintenance and troubleshooting procedures

  • Functions and use of Daniel Ultrasonic Interface (DUI) software and the ultrasonic extractor tool
